Academics, professionals and journalists on Saturday at the launching ceremony of a book on Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani, said that Bhashani was an uncompromising mass leader who spent his life working to establish the rights of the common people.
So, the politicians should work to establish the political ideals of Bhashani for fulfilling the dreams of the common people, they said.
Academic Publishing House Limited organised the launching ceremony of the book titled Maulana Bhashani: politics, philosophy and religion, written by academic Md Forkan Mia.
Former Dhaka University vice-chancellor Anower Ullah Chowdhury said that Maulana Bhashani played a significant role in every past movement of the country.
So, politicians should follow the ideals of Bhashani to restore democracy and democratic rule in the country, Anwar Ullah said.
Academic Syed Irfanul Bari, former vice- chancellor of Maulana Bhashani Science and Technology University, Tangail said that it was good news that many researchers from home and abroad were working to find the ideals of Bhashani.
Jahangirnagar University professor Abul Latif Masum thanked the writer for writing such a valuable book in which readers would get ideas about life, politics and philosophy of Maulana Bhashani.
Executive director of the publishing house APL M Abdul Aziz chaired the discussion meeting. Academic MA Rashid Khan, professional Nazmul Haque Nannu, poet Abdul Hye Shikder, journalist Amirul Islam Kagoji and academic Azizun Nahar took part in the discussion.
